State of Osun Football Association, will Friday morning inaugurate the state Local Football Councils at the Oshogbo Township Stadium.
Speaking with newsmen yesterday, Chairman Osun FA, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, said the inauguration is part of processes leading to elections into the executive positions of the state football association
Ogunjobi, stated further that the decision was to enhance a level-playing field for all and the inauguration is in accordance with NFF statutes.
However, screening of candidature, endorsement and release of names of eligible candidates for the forth-coming Osun FA election will take place today (Friday) between 2.pm and 4.pm.
Meanwhile, Protests/Appeals against candidates will be entertained latest on Monday February 23, while the election proper holds on Thursday February 26.
“Osun FA Electoral Committee will do everything possible to guarantee a free and fair election that will do justice to the great name of our state in the football fraternity," chairman Osun FA Electoral Committee, Barrister Bashir Adewale Quadri said.
The current Ogunjobi-led Osun FA board were elected into office on January 6, 2011 for a four-year term.
