Eduok Snatch Win For Esperance

Esperance snatched all three points with 12 minutes to go against JS Kairouanaise thanks to a solitary goal from their Nigerian forward Emem Eduok.

Eduok scored with a splendid shot from the left, his first goal for the team and it gifted his team all three points when it appeared they were resigned to picking up just one.

Eduok joined Esperance after a protracted transfer tussle between his former team Dolphins and A&B Academy, with Sarpsborg of Norway claiming they signed him from the Academy, a claim Dolphins rejected and got him transferred to Esperance.

The former Under-20 winger scored over 20 goals in the Nigerian Premier league last season and his fine form lead to a call up to the senior National team during the ill-fated AFCON 2015 qualifiers.

He was later called up to the Nigeria Under-23 side but discrepancies in his age submitted to the Nigeria Premier League organising committee led to his omission from the team.
