Ibe Set For New Liverpool Contract

Liverpool are set to reward Jordon Ibe's first-team progress at Anfield with a new long-term contract, sources have claimed.

Ibe, 19, has featured in all four of the Reds' Premier League matches since he was recalled early from a season-long loan at Championship side Derby.

Manager Brendan Rodgers cut short that loan because he felt that Ibe was ready to play a significant part at Liverpool and the club now want to extend his contract, which currently runs until 2017, in order to secure his long-term future.

It is not clear yet how long any new deal would run for, although reports have suggested that it would commit Ibe to staying on Merseyside until around 2020.
