Vejle Refuse To Release Lanky Onuachu

Danish - based striker Paul Onuachu was not amongst the players that trained on Monday afternoon, ahead of the trip to Lusaka .


The word from Denmark is that the Vejle BK forward is nursing a toe injury, and has not been allowed to make the journey to Nigeria to link up with the Nigeria Under 23s.

But the lanky striker has featured in Vejle BK’s last two games in the Danish First Division, including Monday’s game away to Roskilde, and this has punched holes in the argument that suggests he is not hale and hearty.

Therefore, it is thought that Vejle BK simply refused to release Paul Onuachu because their matches in the second - tier took priority over the All Africa Games qualifier against Zambia.

Paul Onuachu made the Dream Team VI roster for the game against Gabon in February.
