The Nigeria National League might not get underway this weekend, according to reports.
The second tier football league in Nigeria might be
postponed by the league board due to late registration of some teams.
The league which has witnessed postponement on two
occasions might be postponed for at least a week in other to enable
participating teams finish up their registration according to top
source.
According to the source who claims anonymity, disclosed that the league might see a new date once again.
"As I speak to you now the league might be postponed because
we still have like 10 teams who are yet to complete their registration
by one reason or the other and we can't start the league without the
teams completing their registration. So it's looking like we will give them a
grace of one week and after that we start the league.
"We just have to accommodate the participating teams to
finish up their registration and hopefully we have a itch free season," he added.
