Peter Utaka scored his second league goal for Japanese club Shimizu
S-Pulse on Wednesday, but it was not enough for his team to secure
maximum points.
Shimizu S-Pulse could only manage a 3-3 draw with Montedio Yamagata at
the IAI Stadium Nihondaira, with Utaka netting in the 26th minute to
give the Katsumi Oenoki led side a three-goal cushion.
But Shimizu S-Pulse threw away their three - goal advantage in a space
of five minutes, with Diego Souza and Nakashima first netting for the
visitors before Hayasi ruined their hopes of securing three points by
scoring four minutes into stoppage time.
Utaka opened his goalscoring account for The S-Pa on April 12 when they narrowly lost 3-2 to JI League high-flyers Gamba Osaka.
The Nigeria international brought down the curtain on his career in the
Chinese Super League by penning a two-year contract with Shimizu
S-Pulse in February.
The 31-year-old striker has appeared 7 times for his new employer in all competitions.
