Warri Wolves FC departed Lagos for Kinshasa on Wednesday morning,
ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup second round, second leg clash with
FC MK of Democratic Republic of Congo.
Officials have confirmed that the second leg battle will now take place at the Tata Raphael Stadium in Kinshasa on Friday.
Wolves, who won the first leg 2-1 at the Warri City Stadium with goals by Gbolahan Salami, will travel aboard ASKY Airline and arrive in Kinshasa on Wednesday evening.
A 26 –man delegation, including 18 players and eight officials, will make the trip, with Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s charge to do the nation proud ringing in their ears.
Salami, as well as U-23 National Team stars Etebo Oghenekaro and Freedom Omofonma, will spearhead the forwardline as Wolves aim to remain in the hunt for continental honours, having lost out of the 2015 Federation Cup competition.
The Confederation of African Football has appointed Cameroonian officials to take charge of the game, with Aurelien Juenkou Wandji as Referee. Yanoussa Moussa will ne 1stAssistant, while Thierry Bruno Tocke and Mandeng Bakaly Cosmas Jerome will serve as 2nd Assistant and Reserve Referee respectively.
Mr. Agostinho Basilio Muluta Prata from Angola will be Match Commissioner.
