Former Houston Dash stopper Ohale Osinachi has been appointed skipper of
the Super Falcons after the departure of substantive skipper Evelyn
Nwabuoku to BIIK Kazygurt.
The defender has stressed that she has no weight on her shoulders following the extra responsibility given to her by the technical crew led by Edwin Okon.
“It feels good to be the acting captain in Super Falcons where we have the likes of Precious Dede, Perpertua Nkwocha and other senior players, so it’s a big honour for me to play this role.
“The whole team prayed for our captain before she departed for her new club.
“The girls are very cooperative and we are doing our best to make sure we remain focused and maintain our discipline,” Osinachi told thenff.com.
Ohale Osinachi was part of the squad that failed to qualify for the All Africa Games and the Olympic Games in 2011.
