Flying Eagles secretary, Ibrahim Aliyu Auwal, has departed for New
Zealand, where he will inspect facilities at the team’s venue for next
month’s FIFA U20 World Cup.
The facilities will cover such aspects as hotel boarding, stadium, training and medical.
African champions Nigeria are drawn in Group E along with Brazil, Hungary and North Korea.
They will play all their first round matches at the 46,000-capacity Yarrow Stadium, formerly known as Stadium Taranaki, in New Plymouth beginning with their opening group game against Brazil on June 1.
Auwal is due back in Nigeria later this week.
