Nigerian international Iniabasi Umotong was in ruthless form as she grabbed a treble in Porthsmouth Ladies win 4-1 win over Gillingham.
With
rivals Brighton dropping points at West Ham, the Blues require just
four points from their remaining two games to claim the Premier League
Southern Division crown.
But it was the hosts who broke the deadlock before the break thanks to a stunning long-range effort from Lauren Phillips.
It took the second half introduction of top scorer Ini Umotong to spur Pompey into action.
She
levelled early in the second half after the Gills had failed to clear a
cross before latching on to a Gemma Hillier through ball and netting
again.
And Umotong completed her hat-trick on 83 minutes by heading home a pin-point cross from Molly Clark.
She then turned provider, teeing-up Hillier to complete a resounding victory deep into stoppage-time.
