Super Falcons 1-1 Santos Football Academy: Ordega Cancels Out Abubakar's Stunner

Francisca Ordega's second half equaliser gave Super Falcons a hard-fought 1-1 against Santos Football Academy in a warm up match at the Abuja National Stadium on Tuesday.


Santos started the game on positive note courtesy of a fine strike from Abubakar Garau after 10 minutes.

Abubakar Garau ran on to a loose ball to beat goalkeeper Ibubeleye Whyte with a low shot.

But Super Falcons hung in there, and got their rewards 13 minutes after the break when Francisca Ordega volleyed home a well crafted cross from Njoku Ugo.

Coach Edwin Okon expressed satisfaction with the performance of the team adding that the essence of the game is to correct the flaws of the game in Mali.
