Ann Chiejine: Robo Should Be Ready For War

Former Super Falcons goalkeeper, Ann Chiejine will lead COD United Ladies out at the Lagos State FA Cup final on Monday 6th April at the Agege Stadium and she has promised that FC Robo who humbled the White Lions 3-0 in the 2014 final won't have an easy ride this time around.

COD United Ladies qualified for the Lagos State FA Cup final after teaching Young Talented Queens the basics of football in a 6-1 victory.

The coach of the White Lions, Ann Chiejine in a chat with SL10.ng after the win expressed joy and hinted that her team will put up a good show in the final.

"We deserve to be in the final, we worked and earn what we've achieved so far. Though we lost to the Lagos FA Cup defending champions, FC Robo last year but 2015 offer us another opportunity to correct the mistakes from 2014 final,"Chiejine stated

The ex-international, Ann Chiejine noted that there has been a major improvement in her team, COD United Ladies pointed that the result of the developmental process at COD United Ladies has produced Nigeria national U17 Women team, Flamingoes players, the likes of Vivian Ikechukwu and Patience Dike represented Nigeria at the World Cup.

"There has been a major improvement at COD United Ladies and that's the template we are working through. The team that lost in the 2014 Lagos FA Cup final were inexperience, we've continued to work on more young players who are still in secondary schools. I'm sure you saw both Vivian Ikechukwu and Patience Dike who both played for the Flamingoes at the World Cup"

"Everyone should come on Monday to see some beautiful and entertaining soccer, this final will be a more interesting one from COD United Ladies,"Chiejine concluded.
