Chairman of the club, Datijo Aliyu, disclosed this after Tornadoes’ management reached a unanimous decision on bringing in a new technical adviser to put more bite into the desire of the club, its fans and the Niger State government to see the veteran club return to the elite division.
Aliyu said that the tactician was given a one-year contract with the mandate to regain promotion for Tornadoes to the Premier League, but failed to do so.
“We employed him with a mandate of taking us back to Premier League; since the mandate was not reached we are not renewing his contract.
“In a few days’ time we are going to announce the new technical adviser as the technical committee is already working on it,” he said.
Aliyu added that Uwua was given a free hand without any interference and he could not see any reason for Tornadoes’ failure to gain promotion.
