As reported by SL10.ng on the 7th of January, former Standard Liege
striker Imoh Ezekiel is back at the club just six months after joining
Qatar Al-Arabi.
Ezekiel failed to settle in Qatar despite earning more than twice his
previous salary at Standard Liege and despite persuasions from club
president Sheikh Hitmi Bin Ali Al Hitmi he was adamant he wants out.
His move back to Belgium was made possible as the Qatar league is
presently on break and despite interest from other clubs in Belgium, a
return to Standard Liege was his priority.
The 21-year-old Ezekiel scored 6 times in 14 games for AL-Arabi but
made his mark in Belgium at Standard Liege where in three full seasons
he scored 29 times to become a huge fan favourite.
