West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino believes teammate Brown Ideye will begin to score regularly for the club.
The 26-year-old Nigeria international, who joined the Baggies from Dynamo Kyiv for a club-record £10million in the summer, has netted just two goals in 14 appearances since his arrival at The Hawthorns.
Ideye missed a gilt-edged opportunity in Albion’s 1-0 win over Hull City on Saturday but his strike partner Berahino, who netted the winner, feels he will soon hit the back of the net with regularity.
“I feel for the lad. I’m surprised that he missed the chance because he puts them away in training,” he said.
“It is hard for him but he has to keep going and he has got that strong character and sooner or later he will start scoring and contributing.
“The boy has found it hard but you can’t knock his effort and his drive to do well for the team.
“He has to keep working hard and hopefully they will start going in for him.”
