Bolowotan Football Club started their Gold Cup campaign on a good note with a 2-1 victory over Westerlo Football Academy.
A goal in each half on Friday by Seun Ogundeyi and Tunde Omotayo gave the Ikorodu based team the good beginning they craved for.
The Academy team pulled a goal back in the second half, but Bolowotan held on to bag the three points.
Ogundeyi put Bolowotan ahead in the 6th and Omotayo fired home a second in the 66th.
Westerlo reduced the tally mid way into the second stanza.
