Enyimba chairman Felix Anyansi-Agwu has called on the players to resume training for the new season after he promised they will be paid their outstanding entitlements before next month’s CAF Champions League clash.
The old players of the team have stayed away from training due to the unpaid entitlements from last season, but were addressed at the team’s camp on Monday by the club boss that they will soon smile to bank.
The players are being owed 25-match bonuses last season and about 75 per cent of their sign on fees.
Enyimba finished runners-up in the Nigeria League last season and won the FA Cup.
They will host Buffles du Borgou FC of Benin Republic in a CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg match on February 14
