Nigerian striker Macauley Chrisantus has been released by Turkish club Sivasspor.
Club president Mecnun Otyakmaz released a
statement on the official Sivasspor website confirming that four
players including Chrisantus would be leaving over the winter break.
“I want to thank the players who are
leaving the team because of the effort they put in. The first half did
not go as we would have liked but we can only look forward. We parted
ways with four of our players in line with the report of our coach,”
Otyakmaz said.
Chrisantus joined Sivasspor on a three-year deal last summer from Spanish second division side Las Palmas.
