Newly appointed Kogi United goalkeeper’s trainer Wasiu Lawal has expressed gratitude to the Mallam Abdul Adama led management team on his new role at the Lokoja based side.
Lawal has trained goalkeepers at the Kwara Football Academy, Imperial Soccer Academy and ABS FC in his coaching career.
“I want to specially appreciate the Kogi United management led by Hon Abdul Adama for the opportunity given to me to sharpen the skills of the goalkeepers in the team,” the coach told Futball Galore.
“The goalkeeping area is a sensitive department in the world of football. The retained goalkeepers (Shola Shesere and Innocent Ndem) are wonderful goal minders.
And as a matter of fact, the four goalkeepers that were invited for screening are also fantastic, but only two would scale the hurdle.
The coach is part of the backroom team of the Nigeria National League team, who also have Yomi Elijah in charge of technical matters
