Osun FA Election Holds February 26, Ogunjobi To Inaugurate Electoral Committees

A fresh election into the board of State of Osun Football Association will take place on Thursday February 26, 2015 at the Oshogbo Township Stadium.

According to a statement from the state football secretariat stated that the Electoral Committee will fix date for the collection of forms into their elective positions after its inauguration slated for next week.

However, Osun F.A boss, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, will on Wednesday January 14, inaugurate the FA's Election Committee as well as the Electoral Appeals Committee ahead of the FA elections which comes up late next month.

The current Ogunjobi-led Osun FA board were elected into office on January 6, 2011 for a four-year term.

The inauguration on Wednesday will take place at the Oshogbo Township Stadium and it will flag off preparations for the polls into executive positions of the state football association.

Osun FA Electoral Committee comprises of
Barrister Bashir Adewale Quadri (Chairman), Akin Adio, Ayo Odidi, Layi Adesiyan, Femi Ilori, Muda Yusuf, Prince Dauda Abimbola as members. The secretary is Kamaldeen Afolabi, the state FA scribe.

Adisa Adewale Salawu and Oluwatayo Komolafe, are standby members.

The Appeal Committee is made of Barrister Ambali Adisa as chairman, Peter Adediji and Kayode Adegoke as members, while Abayomi Amao, will serve as the secretary.

Meanwhile, the newly elected Osun Referee Council led by Gbenga Olatunde, during the week paid a courtesy visit to Osun FA to pledge their support and promised to work hand-in-hand with the state FA to improve the fortune of the game in the state.
