Highly rated striker Ifeanyi Onyilov netted once as Ernis Aradippou got a 3-1 victory over Doxa Katokopia to secure a massive advantage in the first leg of the Cyprus Cup second round on Wednesday.
The second leg match comes up on 14th January at the Stadio Dasaki Achnas.
In a game high on quality at the Makareio Stadio, the Nigeria forward scored his team's second goal in the first half.
Dragan Zarkovic scored in the 23rd minute to give the visitors the lead against the run of play,
Ifeanyi helped the high flying visitors score another goal six minutes later.
Christian Novoa Sandin gave the homers a glimmer of hope when he halved the scoreline eleven minutes from time.
In the to 84th minute, Andreas Papathanasiou sealed the win for Ernis.
Ifeanyi has now scored ten goals in fourteen appearances for Nikodimos Papavasiliou's team.
