ACC: Nigeria Senators should Emulate Saraki

Members of the upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly have been urged to do more to their constituencies in the areas of sports and youths empowerment as exemplified by Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

Dr. Saraki a former governor of kwara state, north central Nigeria represents  kwara central senatorial district at the senate.

Acting secretary of the club owners in Nigeria Alloy Chukwuemeka stated this in Lagos while speaking with sports writers on arrival at the Glo-CAF award nite in Lagos.

Chukwuemeka who was responding to questions  on the state of former Premiership side ABS football club now playing in NNL division, said the vision of the owner of the club Saraki goes beyond just playing football alone, rather a platform for youths development, employment and education.

According to him, the club was adjudged as playing the best brand of football in the Glo- premier League before it got relegated and that temporary set back did not affect the team because it was built on a solid structure in line with the vision of the Owners which is beyond just playing football but overall youth development platform.

"All I can tell you is that ABS will bounce back to the premiership soon, we are  just passing through the normal football management challenges but it will soon be over."

"The club is well structured in line with the vision of the owner Dr Saraki, not just for playing and winnnig matches but a platform for Employment, education and capacity building.

"At the last Count we have supported over eleven players to become University graduates, we encourage and supports coaches in training courses and we have bred many coaches and players for many clubs across the country including National teams."

"So if Other Senators can emulate Saraki in this area, then our youths will be sure of tomorrow and the multiplier effect is that there would be peace in every part of Nigeria when our youths are gainfully engaged. Again you will agree with me why Kwara State is the most peaceful state in Nigeria" concluded Chukwuemeka who is also the General Manager of ABS FC.
