Dong Tam Long An have announced the signing of former Golden Eaglets star Ganiyu Oseni till the end of the season.
He moved to Tân An city in order to aid the club's fight against relegation. The 22-year-old is eligible to play for the team having completed medical and signed the dotted lines. Terms of agreement was not disclosed by both parties.
A product of Nigeria National League side Prime FC, he was an integral member of the championship winning Nigeria Golden Eaglets team which won the 2007 FIFA U17 World Cup. He also enjoyed stints as a member of Esperance, CSKA Moscow, Kienlong bank Kiên Giang, Hoang Anh Gia Lai and Kahramanmaraşspor.
“Oseni is a very talented player who has proven his scoring ability at the international level with the Nigerian team,” described Long An Head Coach Ngo Quang Sang. “He’s going to be a very important addition to our team in terms of competition, depth, and possibilities up front to create scoring opportunities and goals.”
Since making his pro debut with the Omoluabi Giants (Prime FC) in 2007, the powerful forward formed a lethal partnership with Kabiru Akinsola at the 2007 FIFA Cadet World showpiece. Since then, he had stints in Tunisia, Russia, Vietnam and Turkey.
The Nigerian striker who was handed jersey number 68, will look to make his league debut when Long An host An Giang at the Long An Stadium on Sunday.
