Patience Jonathan sends goodwill message to Golden Eaglets

The First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency Dame Patience Goodluck Jonathan has sent her best wishes to the Golden Eaglets at the 2013 Under-17 World Cup.

The message of solidarity was delivered to the team’s officials at their Dinat Resort Hotel Friday evening ahead of their opening game against defending champions Mexico on Saturday by His Excellency, Ibrahim Auwalu, Nigeria’s Ambassador to the UAE who visited the team alongside some members of his family.

“I’m delighted to be here on behalf of Her Excellency, to ascertain how well you are coping as well as getting ready for your first game against Mexico on Saturday,” he said.

“In fact, the First Lay said I should inform you that she is expecting you, her children to go all out and do the country proud.

“I want you to pass on her message to the players because I don’t want to disturb them since they are resting.”
