Nigerian striker Uche Nwofor made his first appearance for Heerenveen in official game on Saturday. His club suffered from a 3-2 defeat against Vitesse Arnhem.
Nwofor is loaned to Heerenveen from VVV Venlo, where he had a good 2012/13 season.
So far 24-year old Nigerian has made just one appearance for Heerenveen reserves in a control game against Hercules Almelo reserves back in September, but on Saturday was his first Eredivisie game since departure from Venlo.
Nwofor was introduced to the field in 80th minute, when he substituted van La Parra. There was a 2-2 draw when he entered the pitch, but unfortunately van Aanholt's goal in stoppage time took the point away from Heerenveen.
Hopefully Lagos-born Nwofor will get more playing time from now on. Last season he scored 8 goals for Venlo, but it didn't help them to avoid relegation from Eredivisie.
