Former 36 Lions starlet rescues his Belgium club

Imoh Ezekiel's 36th minute strike earned Standard Liege a point at Anderlecht and ensured the UEFA Europa League campaigners still maintained their top form in Belgium.

The hosts took the lead when an unmarked Sacha Kljestan headed home Aleksander Mitrovic's cross.

Liege gradually began to assert their authority in midfield and equalised in impressive style when Geofrey Mujangi teed up Ezekiel for his 6th League goal of the season.

Ezekiel, who turned out for 36 Lions FC during his days in the Nigeria National League (NNL), was replaced by Ronnie Stam in the 75th minute of action.

Both sides continued to drive forward but struggled to break through, settling for a hard-earned point which sends Standard Liege into week 13 at the league's summit and Anderlecht still maintaining 5th place on the Belgium Jupiler League table.
