I owe my praises to teammates and Masu Gida fans says Afelokhai
Skipper and number one custodian of 2012/2013 Glo Nigeria Premier League champions, Kano Pillars, Theophilus Afelokhai, has showered on his teammates and club fans after the Masu Gida retained the league shield.
Babaganaru's boys went down two-nil to Lobi Stars at Katsina Ala on Sunday, but they retained the title as Bayelsa United and El Kanemi Warrios also lost their matches to Gombe United and Elkanemi Warriors respectively.
"This is my third league title with Kano Pillars. I'm happy we have retained the title.
"Last year people said we didn't win well. Now we have won again to show we remain the best," Afelokhai said.
The goalkeeper also thanked the fans for season-long support.
"Pillars remain grateful to the fans. The players always appreciate their presence and we recognise their role in the success story," Afelokhai added.
