Izuchukwuka fires timely strike in Albania

Bylish Ballsh had their Nigerian import, Solomonson Izuchukwuka to thank, as he fired a timely equaliser in an Albania League match against Lushnja on Saturday.

The game which ended one-all saw the visitors taking the leading through Mikel Canka's 16th minute penalty.

Bylish started strongly and James Adeniyi had a shot saved by Mikel Spaho, Kehinde Owoeye set-up Izuchkwuka in the first half, but the striker lifted an effort over the keeper only for Erion Sular to clear off the line.

Bylish appeared to be in control after the equaliser but the upright denied them the needed victory.

Adeniyi made way for Michael Ikpe, with Izuchukwu earning a full duration appearance and yellow card in the 60th minute. Owoeye was on for 90 minutes.

Bylish are 7th on the log with 10 points from 9 games.

"We came across a very dogged and resolute Lushnja team who were smarting from last week and we knew it was going to be difficult," team gaffer and ex-international Ndubuisi Egbo said

"I knew it was a game that was all about getting the killer goal and once we got it, I thought we would go on and win but they hung on in there, we created and missed chances but that's football," James Adeniyi asserted.

"I am pleased with the performance but I think we lost concentration for the goal they scored. I say we should win those games and score more goals," Kehinde Owoeye declared.
