Okoronkwo's introduction timely for Erzgebirge

Solomon Okoronkwo's Erzgebirge Aue scored two goals within the space of 3 minutes to pull off a 2-1 home win against VFL Bochum at the Sparkassen Erzgebirgsstadion.

Okoronkwo started the match on the substitutes bench. He was thrown into the fray at the start of the second half, and he made an instant impact with a 48th minute assist that resulted in Guido Kocer's first goal and Erzgebirge's equaliser.

The former Golden Eaglets player received a through pass in the 85th minutes, dribbled past two defenders, but was denied by Michael Esser's acrobatic save.

"Several of the players showed character and we were rewarded," Okoronkwo told futbalgalore.blogspot.com

"Take nothing away from the opposition, they worked hard for the points. We were determined in the second half and I think it's understandable with the level of efforts we showed in winning the match, the former U20 star said.
