Former Club Brugge forward, Joseph Akpala aka ''the little Joe'' netted his first strike for Turkish Super League side, Kardemir Karabukspor in the game against defending champions, Galatasaray on Saturday. However, Kardemir lost 2-1.
The forgotten Super Eagles striker is on loan in the Turkish club, as he couldn't find his place in Werder Bremen.
Galatasaray won the game after two goals by Wesley Sneijder, who once again proved to be one of the top midfielders in the world.
Akpala scored his goal in 52nd minute, when he received a great cross from the left side, but his header hit the post. However Nigerian striker was able to get to the ball again and netted from the close range.
27-year old striker was very active and had chances to even the score, but he was unable to finish the actions. Nevertheless it was a good game for Akpala, who seems to be getting used to tough Turkish league.
Kardemir Karabukspor are on 12th place in the Turkish Super League with 8 points after 8 games.
