Ekiti United Signs Deal With OWU


Nigeria National League side, Ekiti United Football Club, yesterday signed a contractual agreement with Nigeria's leading sportswear OWU amidst funfare.

Both parties signed the contract papers at the state secretariat in Ado-Ekiti.

Speaking at the official signing and presentation of the team home and away jersey, club chairman, Princess Oluwafunmilayo Olayinka Adefemi, said the team is happy to be among teams in Nigerian league kitted by OWU Sportswear.

"We are happy to join the trend of teams kitted by OWU, we are moving fast on how we will re-brand Ekiti United," Princess Adefemi said.

The CEO of OWU Sportswear, Barrister Tunji Brown, while making his remarks said Ekiti United has joined the growing numbers of clubs kitted by his firm and it shows the product is acceptable in the sporting sector.

"We are happy that Ekiti United is joining the number of teams we are kitting in the league and it shows that teams are happy with our products and I am happy to inform you that we have a high-quality fabrics for the new season and we will keep improving every season," Brown stated.

Chairman Ekiti State Football Association, Desmond Ayo Alabi, expressed happiness at the partnership between Ekiti United and OWU Sportswear, and commended the club management for taking a giant step in rebranding Ekiti United Football Club.

OWU will provide sporting goods for Ekiti United, including kits, outing-wear and training jerseys during the 2014/15 season.
