Ekiti FA Gets New Secretary


Ekiti State Football Association after Thursday evening executive committee meeting named Barrister (Mrs) Adebimpe Aribatise Okhueleigbe as its new secretary and legal adviser.

Barrister Adebimpe is a seasoned football administrator and brings with her previous experience of working as managing partner at Auto Football Intelligence and Management in the United Kingdom. 

The appointment of Adebimpe follows the Ekiti State Sports Council routine posting of former scribe, Mrs. Mercy Adegbuji, from her role as secretary of the Ekiti State FA last week.

Ekiti FA boss, Ayo Alabi, hopes that Adebimpe's strengths and experience will allow her to help in developing the association.

"Ekiti State Football Association has set out a clear development strategy and I am pleased and excited to be part of it," said Barrister Adebimpe. 

Commenting on Adebimpe's appointment, Alabi, said: "Adebimpe is another strong addition to an exciting team being formed at the Ekiti State Football Association and will offer significant benefits to football development in the state."

Meanwhile, in order to be focused on the 4-points agenda of the board in line with the transformation agenda of Governor Fayose, the FA Board has secured a 2 Bedroom Bungalow as its temporary secretariat pending the time it will commence work on the proposed Ekiti Football House. 

Ekiti FA has been operating from a single room office at the Stadium since its inception.
