Dedebit Arrives Nigeria Wthout Informing Wolves

Players and officials of Ethiopian club, Dedebit FC flew into Lagos on Thursday afternoon without pre-informing their CAF Confederation Cup first round, first leg hosts, Warri Wolves FC.

The delegation was three hours into the flight from Addis Ababa before an official of the Ethiopia Football Federation made a phone call to the NFF’s Assistant Director (Communications), Ademola Olajire that the team was about to land in Lagos.

Several phone calls were made and arrangements put in place to receive them, avoiding what could have been an embarrassment. The delegation was then flown to Benin as all flights to Warri were fully booked.

Warri Wolves FC, 4-0 winners over Racing Club Bobo-Dioulasso of Burkina Faso in the preliminary round, take on Dedebit FC on Saturday at the Warri City Stadium.
