Alampasu Will Be Available For AYC

Estoril Praia goalkeeper has been allowed to join the Flying Eagles camp in preparation for the 2015 African Youth Championship scheduled to take place in Senegal.

The goal tender signed a four-year deal at the Estoril based club on the deadline day of the winter transfer window.

There were intial fears from some quarters on his availability for the youth competition, but sources close to Futball Galore stated that the reliable custodian will participate in the tournament.

''Dele is on his way to Nigeria. He has a clause in his contract that allows him to play for his country in the 2015 AYC,'' the source told Futball Galore on Wednesday morning.

On Tuesday 3rd February, a leading online medium SL10 revealed the starlet's move to the Portuguese top flight.

Alampasu, who turned 18 in December, was excellent when Nigeria won their fourth FIFA U-17 World Cup two years ago in UAE, pulling off several saves in the tournament

Alampasu was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament; winning the Golden Glove.

The youngster was indeed a shining light in the cadet mundial as his contribution was massive in securing Nigeria a record fourth title.

He has thus joined several of his team-mates from that schoolboy team - Kelechi Iheanacho, Isaac Success, Musa Yahaya, Chidera Ezeh, Chidiebere Nwakali, Taiwo Awoniyi and Aliyu Abubakar - who have moved to Europe.
