Afolabi, Goyi Spotted At Amkar Perm

Fengor Ogude might be having two other Nigerians as teammates at Russia side Amkar Perm if the duo of Abdulwaheed Afolabi and Aliyu Mohammed Goyi impress the team handlers during test games.

The duo played the entire duration of yesterday's 0-0 friendly draw against Georgian side Zion, a game which Fengor Ogude rested.

Afolabi currently plays for Moldovan sides Saxan Ceadar Lunga where he has one goal from 7 games but he once had a short stint in Russia with Kuban Krasnordar in the 2012/2013 seasons when he made just two appearances for the team before he was released.

He has also played in Ukraine for Tavriya and Qabala of Azerbaijan was his penultimate team before he moved to Moldova.

Locally the Kaduna born lanky forward represented Lobi stars and Niger Tornadoes and was a part of the Nigeria Under-20 team during the Africa Youth qualifiers in 2009.

Meanwhile 21 year old Goyi who played with Afolabi at Niger Tornadoes won silver with the Nigerian team at the under-17 World cup in 2009 and is presently Afolabi’s teammate in Moldova.
