Remo Stars Gaffer Okagbue: We Were Unlucky

Remo Stars crashed one-nil to Go Round in the match day five of the Nigeria National League at the Krisdera Stadium in Omoku on Friday.

It was another defeat on the road for the Sky Blue Stars in the on-going NNL campaign.

The early showers in the day presented both sides with a soaked pitch which ensured most of the football played was in the air.

As expected both teams played to their strengths as Go Round were rewarded with a 21st minute strike from Worlu Stanley as he was at the end of  a lobbed ball to give the home side the lead.

The response was expected as the Sky Blue Stars showed intent to get back into the game and were rewarded with chances which was left begging to be converted.

Head Coach of the visiting team, Uche Okagbue couldn't hide his disappointment, as he attributed the loss of the team to be unlucky as well as commending the match officials of the game.

"It was a good game, luck wasn't just on our side in this game and I must commend the level of officiating am really impressed.

"In football we have 3 results either you win, lose or you draw. We came here with the intention of getting 3 points or least a point but we going back with none."

''We have lost 2 away games before now with the same scoreline, Okagbue said

"We just have to go back home and ensure in our next away game we have a better performance, we have lost our previous away games by a slim margin and I believe soon we will get a result on the road."

Winger Oche Salefu also couldn't hide the disappointment as he and his teammates couldn't convert one of the chances presented as they deserve to go home with 3points

"Am not so happy we are going home with nothing, we played so well to earn a point.

''Go Round were just lucky to have gotten the first half goal. In the second half we played mostly in their half and we should have scored but we didn't and that's just how football is.''
