Goals from Samuel Chukwudi and Godwin Obaje in the 35th and 70th minutes were enough to unsettle the Pride of Taraba, who further sunk to the relegation zone.
The hosts started the game on high note sending in series of crosses but goalkeeper Haliru Sani stood up to the challenge. The former Kano Pillars goalie was a force to reckon with, saving the Bauchi-based side on numerous occasions.
Despite the early dominance, Samuel Chukwudi put the visitors in front when he perfectly connected a tailor-measured pass kept his calm before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper to silence the homers.
Fast rising striker Godwin Obaje doubled Wikki’s lead against the round play.
Determined not to go down easily, Taraba pressurised Wikki with long balls to the 18-yard box.
In the 76th minute, Luther Iyorhe scored to stage as Taraba tried to stage a late comeback but Wikki kept their cool to carry the day.
