Arinze Denies Kwara Maximum Points

Lobi Stars needed a second half goal from Obioma Arinze to draw 1-1 with Kwara United in a Nigeria Professional Football League tie clash at the Kwara Stadium.

The Harmony Warriors got off to a positive start as they created chances, but they were let down by complacency in front of goal.

The home side had the upper hand in terms of ball possession and they were also bouyed by their supportive fans.

As the game progressed Lobi Stars began to combine nicely going forward.

However, Segun Alebiosu put Kwara United ahead in the 37th minute, when he beautifully connected home a cross from Halilu Obadeki.

Lobi Stars looked more matured and composed, pushing forward in search of an equaliser, and their pressure paid off in the 77th minute when Arinze turned on the edge box, and beat Ismail Shagari with a great strike.

The encounter ended 1-1, with the two teams sharing the spoils.
