Dolphins came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Giwa FC in an exciting Nigeria Professional Football League clash at the Liberation Stadium on Sunday.
The match started at a blistering pace with both teams playing attacking football in front of the Garden City fans.
The hosts struggled to handle the pace of Giwa’s players as they were closed down in the midfield.
Giwa striker Ocheme Edoh scored the opening goal in the 26th minute after he was put through on goal by Ibrahim Shuaibu.
The Pride of Rivers fought back gallantly in the opening minutes of the second half, and a strong header by Ifeanyi Egwim from Isiaka Olawale's free-kick was too strong for goalkeeper Friday Achimugwu to level the score 1-1 on 48 minutes.
Dolphins continued to put the Jos Elephants under pressure, gunning for a winning goal, but the away team withstood the onslaught.
