The management of Niger Tornadoes of Minna will announce the new head
coach of the team as early as next week with the club keen to end
speculation about who will take over from the sacked Godwin Uwua.
Futball Galore understands that the appointment might have been announced already but the need to evaluate the speculated candidates called for more patience.
“We cannot delay this process any longer, with the 2014/15 Nigeria National League on the horizon. The club elders are adamant and we have to give this urgent attention,” an official of the club told Futball Galore.
"As soon as we settle on a sound option, we should have an announcement to make.”
That would suggest that Tornadoes have their man in the bag, but would also contradict a statement from a member of the management some weeks ago that refuted, once again, claims from Jos that Abdullahi Biffo had an offer from them.
Another leading contender for the job, Benard Ogbe, is currently unattached and could be a quality addition due to his wealth of experience.
According to reports in Minna, an unnamed tactician whose track records speaks volume also applied for the job.
