Kaduna United drops points at home

Kaduna United dropped their first points at home as Heartland held them to a 1-1 draw to pick their first away point of the season.

After a subdue period of possession from the visiting Heartland, Kaduna United took the lead in the last minute of the half through Isa Aminu who tucked away a controversial spot kick after the referee ruled Kalu Orji handled on the goal line off a corner kick.

The half ended with Kaduna United's penalty goal seperating the two teams.

Heartland emerged from the break a better team and duly got rewarded seven minutes later when debutant Togolese import Saibou Badarou levelled for them.

The goal galvanised the visitors as they poured forward in search of a winning goal but the home team will feel hard done by, as from a goal mouth scramble Ali Adamu's effort clearly crossed the line, but the flag was already up for an offside.

After a series of heroics from Heartland's goal keeper Ebele Obi, the game was brought to an end and boos ran out from the home end at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium.
