Controversial moment in Sapele, as Bayelsa picks 3 points against Warriors

Bayelsa United continued their impressive start to the NPFL season, with a controversial 2-1 win over El-Kanemi Warriors.

Ebitimi Agogo's strike was cancelled out by Ndubuisi Ekwuruibe in the second half, in an end to end game characterised by an explosive first half and an impressive start to the second.

The game's moment of controversy arrived in the 95th minute of time added on, as Eric Frimpong tucked home a controversial winner, that prompted the officials into a lengthy discussion before eventually awarding the goal, despite protests from the El- Kameni players.

Shortly after the game, unconfirmed reports suggest that the officials were physically assaulted by the EL-Kanemi Warriors players, however, the LMC are yet to make a statement to that effect.

Furthermore the LMC are yet to confirm the 2-1 win for the match day five results, as they have the result down as a 1-1 draw, despite a section of the media confirming the late strike from Bayelsa winner in added time.
