Ajilete Boys snatch victory over resolute Gombe

Crown managed a hard-fought 1-0 win over Gombe United thanks to a stunning goal from Nnedum Francis.
The first chance of the match was created by the home side, as they tried to loft the ball over Chigozie Agbim but the attempt went harmlessly over the crossbar.
The Ajilete Boys went ahead just after the 37 minute mark when Nnedum took a touch before striking the ball, with the ball dipping into the net, leaving Agbim hopeless.
Maurice Cooreman's half-time team talk clearly had an impact, as his Gombe side came out with more purpose.
The away team were given hope of a comeback in the 56th minute,  as a  penalty was conceded by goalscorer Nnedum. Sulaiman Usman had the chance to level matters from the spot, but he failed to convert, leaving the Belgium-born coach in a tensed situation.
Crown were under increasing pressure late on but they managed to hold on to take all three points.
