FK Ventspils who have Nigerian striker Ahmed Abdultaofik in their ranks have emerged as Latvian Virsliga winners.
Ventspils finished on top of the log with 67 points, five points above second Skonto and fifteen above third Daugava Daugavpils. This is the fifth title in club's 16-year history.
The 21-year-old Abdultaofik was not a regular fixture for the league Kings but he netted four goals in 20 matches in all competitions.
Two other Nigerians were in action for some other clubs in the league.
Centre back, Daniel Ola and striking machine, Ibrahim Babatunde ended the season in third place with Daugava Daugavpils.
