Ligue 1: Vincent Enyeama unbeatable in goal as Lille replace Monaco in second

Monaco's unbeaten league run ended on Sunday night as Lille won out 2-0 at the Grand Stade, with Vincent Enyeama unbeatable in goal as Les Dogues replaced their opponents in second.

It was far from easy for Lille, especially with Monaco attacking all-out in the final stages, but Nigeria 'keeper Vincent Enyeama's incredible double save to deny Radamel Falcao and then Emmanuel Rivière in injury time (90'+1) was emblematic of the skill and determination that René Girard's men had produced to deny their expensively-assembled opponents.

Monaco showed flashes of their attacking power as João Moutinho drew an early save from Enyeama in the 6th minute.

After standing tall to deny Monaco super-sub Emmnauel Rivière - brought on to play alongside Falcao in an attacking move from Ranieri - one-on-one with Super Eagles goalie, Enyeama equal to the task.

Enyeama produced a superb stop to deny Falcao at close range and Lille's opportunism kicked instantly into gear.

Falcao managed to squeeze a final shot in after Enyeama's injury-time brilliance,

The result sees Lille go outright second, two shy of leaders Paris Saint-Germain and a point ahead of Monaco, who have a five-point cushion ahead of fourth-placed Nantes.
