Nigerian Duo Helps Chippa United Earn Crucial Away Point

The duo of James Okwuosa and George Akpabio were in starters list for Chippa United as the club fought hard to earn a goalless draw at Platinum on Wednesday.

Chippa didn't manage a single shot on target throughout the game, while the home outfit could only muster up a couple of attempts on goal.

Dikwena had an excellent chance to put their noses in front in the 29th minute when Mogakolodi Ngele received the ball in the middle of the box but his shot was directed just wide of the target.

At the other end of the pitch Amazayoni had a chance of their own to break the deadlock. Akpabio was provided with the opportunity to strike but he steered his side's best chance of the half wide.

There was a rare strike on target in the 81st minute when Mahlatse Makudubela tried his luck for the hosts, but Mbongeni Mzimela wasn't troubled and made an easy save as the teams cancelled each other out.

It was a solid performance from the Okwuosa led back four. The former Enugu Rangers skipper gave a good of himself at the rear guard.
