Mfon, Sokari & Osaguona Shines In Eagles Thrilling Friendly Win

Super Eagles defeated NYSC Football Team 5-2 in a tune up game ahead of the national team’s exhibition matches against Ivory Coast and Sudan this month.

The Daniel Amokachi-led side trailed the opponents with two minutes gone in the game after Omefe Ifeanyi’s opener.

Enyimba International forward Mfon Udoh, who topped the goalscoring chart last season in the Nigeria Professional Football League, restored parity for the three-time African champions.

The Eagles were shocked again in the sixth minute after
Eugene Utom restored NYSC’s one-goal advantage.

Before the end of the first half, exciting playmaker Kingsley Sokari scored twice and Udoh added another goal.

Enugu Rangers forward Osaguona Ighodaro netted in the 85th minute to make it 5-2.
