Esele Relishes Ruthless Opening Day Win

Becamex Binh Duong goalkeeper, Theophilus Esele has said his team’s victory  against Dong Thap is a strong indication they will successfully defend their crown in the league season that got underway on 4th January, 2015.

The Thu Dau Mot-based side devoured the visitors 6-1 in Sunday’s Vietnam League match day 1 encounter at the San Van Dong Go Dau.

Esele, who spoke after the one-sided victory, told Futball Galore that God will surely complete the good work He has started in his side.

“Everyone have high hopes on us, but God is always on our side and that’s why I’ve dedicated the impressive victory to Him alone.

“We’re positive that the same God who saw us through to this victory will surely complete the good work He has started in us by ensuring we win in all tournaments we participate in this season.

“We’re overwhelmed by this victory and lack the appropriate words to express. I think our chances of winning a treble can be achieved,” the 30-year-old goalkeeper added.
