Super Eagles forward hopeful of playing a part in big match

Emmanuel Emenike is in a race against the clock to be fit for the upcoming meeting with Istanbul rivals Galatasaray, scheduled for this Sunday, April 6.
The Nigeria international trained separately from the rest of his teammates on Wednesday due to a muscle complaint.

He is hopeful he will recover on time for the clash at Turk Telekom Arena , a game which corresponds to the 28th round of matches in the Turkish Super League.

“The fans and the club know the importance of our match against Galatasaray. I would not miss this match,”Emenike was quoted as saying by Fanatik.

In the first round fixture, Fenerbahce defeated Galatasaray 2 - 0 with the Nigerian tasting action for about 45 minutes.

The Yellow Canaries are 10 points ahead of the Lion in the race for the Super League title.
