Peter Dedevbo, chief coach of the Nigeria Under 20 Female Side, on Thursday declared that he had trimmed his team down to 25, after a two-week assessment of the girls in camp. The first leg match has been fixed for Abuja National Stadium on 26th October.
The gaffer said that 25 players made the cut for the upcoming two-legged games against Sierra Leone, in Abuja and Freetown respectively.
"We have just concluded the screening of all the girls who were invited to our camp which opened on 7th October, 2013, here at the FIFA Goal Project Centre.
"Five out of girls have been dropped ahead of the first leg game against Sierra Leone, he said.
He said the five dropped players were Faith Alex , Mary Ologbosere, Ihuoma Onuegbu, Ugo Njoku, and Abosede Kayode.
Dedevbo said the remaining players would prosecute the first and return legs of the qualifier, with the second leg slated for 9th November in Freetown.
The tactician said that he would spread his tentacles to more players after the two games against Sierra Leone.
